Medical DirectorDr. Joanne Lapetina, MDDr. Joanne E. Lapetina has served 25+ years as a Board Certified Physician in Pediatric Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine. She graduated from Eastern Virginia Medical School and pursued her residency at the VCU School of Medicine. She has served on the Virginia College of Emergency Physicians Board and the Richmond Academy of Medicine Board, was appointed to the Governor’s Advisory Board for Emergency Medical Services by both Governors Allen and Gilmore, and currently serves as medical director of EMS for multiple Fire and EMS agencies.

Board Member-at-LargeJoshua PeiJoshua graduated with a B.S. in Bioinformatics from VCU in 2023. As a Board Member and Training Officer, he directs the training and continuing education of clinical providers, promoting the best possible care for our patients. In addition to his service here, he also works as a Paramedic in multiple local healthcare agencies. In his free time, he enjoys playing with his two cats.

Board Member-at-LargeNikhil ChandravelNikhil earned a B.S. in Biology and Chemistry and a B.A. in Philosophy in 2023 from VCU. In addition to fielding general membership concerns as a Board Member, he also is also the Scheduling Officer and Chaplain. Outside of his service here, he is currently attending medical school, and in his free time, he enjoys visiting the river, painting, and eating sweet potato waffle fries.

Board Member-at-LargeVivian JohnsVivian is a Biology and Psychology major at VCU. As a Board Member at Large and public relations officer, she supports rescue squad special projects and committees while promoting and advertising the squad. Apart from Bensley, she is a medical scribe and research assistant at MCV. On her days off, you can find her baking, painting, dancing, and crocheting.
